What TripRank is

TripRank records the drives you already take, so you can look back on where you went. You climb our leaderboards by driving more, not by driving faster. Because “driving app” can mean a lot of different things, here is exactly what we do — and what we don’t.

What it isWhat it isn’t
What it is A record of drives you already take Every drive is saved as a route on a map you can open again later.
What it isn’t Not a reason to drive differently The commute counts the same as a weekend run. Nothing changes because it is being recorded.
What it is Ranked on distance and territory Four things are ranked: total distance, longest single drive, territory explored and trophies earned.
What it isn’t Not a speed contest No board ranks how fast anyone drove. You move up by covering more ground, not by going quicker.
What it is How long you drove, not how quickly A drive has a duration, the way any journey does. It is a number on a summary, not a target.
What it isn’t Not a timed run There is no 0–60, no launch timing and no lap clock. Nothing in the app times you against a target.
What it is Starts itself, then stays out of the way Auto-start records from the moment you drive off until you park, with no taps at all. You can also start it by hand before you pull away.
What it isn’t Not something to touch on the road Nothing in the app needs a tap once you are moving. Starting and stopping belong to the parked minutes at either end.
What it is A recap at the end of every month Once a month TripRank turns your driving into a card you can save or share.
What it isn’t Nothing to win by driving harder Driving further, and more often, is the only thing that moves you up.

What about speed?

TripRank shows you a speed. It is on the driving screen while you drive, on each drive in your history, in your drive summary and in your lifetime stats — the same reading the trip computer in your car gives you after a journey.

What it is not is a ranking. Top speed and average speed appear on no leaderboard and in no trophy. Nothing in the app asks you to beat a number.

Driving comes first

This is the first thing every driver sees, before they can record anything:

You are solely responsible for your driving.
